Carrie Prior

Carrie Prior, Ed.D., is the associate dean of the School of Technology at Excelsior University, where she leads the school and contributes to the leadership team. In this role she guides the strategic and operational direction of academic programs. A champion of ethical, inclusive, and technically rigorous education, Prior plays a central role in shaping the School of Technology’s mission—preparing students not only for the demands of the modern workforce but also to be responsible contributors to society.

Before joining Excelsior, Prior served as a senior international officer in both public and private higher education institutions, leading global initiatives and fostering cross-border academic collaborations. A recognized thought leader in Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), she frequently presents and publishes on internationalization, strategic planning, and globally focused academics. Her work advances the integration of ethics and societal impact into technology education, reinforcing Excelsior’s commitment to developing socially responsible STEM leaders.

A 2019 Fulbright recipient, Prior holds an Ed.D. in the Design of Learning Environments from Rutgers University.
