Matthew Baumgartner
Matt Baumgartner is the president of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce and its subsidiaries, the Chamber Foundation and Honor Flight Northland, where he leads efforts in business advocacy, economic development, and regional progress across northeastern Minnesota. With more than 15 years of experience in leadership and financial management in public and private sectors, he brings a strategic, community-centered approach to his work. He is the founder and managing member of Baumgartner Global Capital Partners, a private investment firm.
Recognized as one of the Twin Cities Business’ Top 100 People to Know and among Minnesota’s 500 Most Influential Business Leaders, Baumgartner serves on more than a dozen nonprofit and corporate boards, including Rotary International, the YMCA, and the University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth Campus.
Baumgartner earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Excelsior University and has completed executive studies at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a CFA Charter Candidate.
