Pat Geiger

Pat Geiger retired as CEO of Cochener Garvey Capital Partners in 2019. Over his 50-year career, he advanced to senior positions in domestic and leading multinational organizations with as many as 35,000 employees within his organizational purview. Geiger graduated from the executive General Management Program at Harvard Business School and attended Excelsior to complete his undergraduate degree. When he graduated from Excelsior in 2007, Geiger was at the pinnacle of his executive career. Rather than creating a step toward a broader employment path, the degree fulfilled a promise Geiger had made to himself years before. The experience led to his appreciation for how Excelsior’s academic and career experiences converge to create a holistic lifelong education, and that Excelsior has recognized this in its offering of credit for class work combined with relevant life experiences. Pat lives in Houston, Texas. He has been a member of the Alumni Leadership Council since 2018. He earned an AA from the University of Minnesota; a BS in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College; and a GMP from Harvard Business School.
