Description

This course introduces students to a major function of human resource management: training and development, including performance improvement in organizations. Topics include: theories and applications of adult learning principles, designing training programs appropriate for different levels of employees, respecting employees specific needs and interests, aligning training programs with the organization s mission, and career coaching and development of employees. Types of training and andragogy will be introduced, e.g., web based training, lectures, use of case analyses and behavioral rehearsal. Students will also learn how to develop and evaluate training programs for expatriates and repatriates.
