PHYS201 Physics I
Description
This course includes a study of linear motion, Newton's Laws and friction, torque, work, energy, power, impulse, momentum, uniform circular motion, angular kinematics & dynamics, moment of inertia, fluid statics, temperature, specific heat, heat of combustion, heat transfer, the ideal gas law, thermodynamics, and mechanical waves. Some of the mathematics to be applied in the course will be reviewed as needed. This course is recommended for technical coursework and careers.
Prerequisites
MAT116 Precalculus Algebra and MAT118 Trigonometry, or MAT120 Precalculus
