Description

Public health is the science and art of protecting and improving the health of the population as a whole. This course provides students with a deeper understanding and appreciation of today s complex US public health system. Students will explore the origins of the modern public health system, the contributions of public health practice, and the critical issues facing it today. Throughout the course, students will be introduced to a broad array of career opportunities and learn how these professions work together to prevent and mitigate health risks in the general public.
