About Michael Graham
As vice president for institutional integration and collaboration, Michael Graham leads the institutional integration of partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other opportunities. He supports the development of institutional partnerships from their inception, leads the integration of various aspects of partnerships, and ensures that the efforts are set up for successful implementation.
Graham is an accomplished higher education executive, strategist, and innovator with more than two decades of experience leading transformative initiatives at universities across the United States. His most recent position prior to joining Excelsior was serving as president of Valley College, where he oversaw the institution’s transition from for-profit to non-profit status, driving operational efficiency, enrollment growth, and academic excellence.
Previously, Graham held senior leadership roles at National Louis University, where he managed university operations, technology, and strategic planning, and led award-winning innovations in online education and student support. His career also includes key positions at McNeese State University, Bethany College, and Youngstown State University, where he established centers for teaching and learning, spearheaded digital transformation projects, and led the development and growth of online and electronically supported education initiatives.
Graham is a published author and frequent presenter on topics such as online program management, academic innovation, and technology in education.
