Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society is an organization which recognizes adult learners for high scholastic attainment. It exists to inspire others to continue their education as they balance home and work lives.

American Nuclear Society Student Section

The American Nuclear Society student section provides a means for students to develop professionally within the nuclear science and engineering field. Our quarterly virtual meetings provide social and professional networking opportunities to supplement your online and classroom experiences. Excelsior hosts the only virtual ANS student section, and the only section sponsored by a distance learning institution.

Excelsior also hosts a chapter of the Alpha Nu Sigma Honor Society, an affiliate honor society of the American Nuclear Society.

Association for Computing Machinery Student Chapter

The Association for Computing Machinery Student Chapter provides forums, panel discussions, and symposia that further a student's professional development. Preparation and presentation of technical reports and papers and cooperative efforts on research projects allow students to test their technical expertise.

IEEE Student Branch

Excelsior College's School of Business and Technology sponsors a student branch of IEEE, an international professional association for the advancement of technology.

Excelsior is the first distance learning institution to host an IEEE student branch.

The student branch membership is open to any Excelsior College student interested in electronics engineering and electronics/instrumentation technologies.

Nursing Honor Society

Excelsior hosts the Tau Kappa Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, which supports the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses. Membership is by invitation only.

Society for Human Resource Management Chapter

Excelsior College's School of Business and Technology has been approved for a chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

SHRM chapters present an opportunity for students to network, learn more about human resource management, build relationships with local professionals, even host regular meetings with business individuals throughout the country to speak via the web on a variety of topics.
