‘Ghost Student’ Interview with Lizz Petroski
Lizz Petroski, Excelsior University executive director of student financial services, was interviewed as a subject matter expert on Arizona broadcast news stations KOLD and KPHO for a story on “ghosts students,” fraud rings exploiting admissions and financial aid processes and creating financial, operational, and reputational risk for higher education institutions. The interview details the safeguards Excelsior put into place to prevent this issue. The interview has subsequently aired on broadcast stations in other markets around the country, including KITC (Rochester, Minnesota), WITN (Greenville, North Carolina), and KVVU (Henderson, Nevada).
