About Robin Goodrich
Robin Goodrich is the executive dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Excelsior University. She joined Excelsior as dean of the School of Nursing in May 2023. For eight years, Goodrich served as president and chief executive officer of the North Brunswick (NJ) Campus of Chamberlain University College of Nursing. In 2023, she formed Academic Optimization LLC, a higher education consulting firm specializing in nursing and healthcare.
Goodrich was the associate dean in the College of Health Professions and College of Arts and Sciences at Davenport University, where she led academic operations for online programs and course development. She was also on the faculty in the Department of Nursing at Western Connecticut State University and adjunct assistant professor of nursing education at Columbia University Teachers College. Goodrich practiced as a registered nurse for 25 years in maternal-child and level IIIB Neonatal Intensive Care at Danbury Hospital.
She has contributed to the advancement of the nursing profession through journal articles and presentations on topics including transition to the academic nurse educator role, simulation in nursing education, regional and programmatic accreditation, and the value of professional certifications in maternal-child and neonatal nursing.
Goodrich is actively engaged in professional organizations such as New York Academy of Medicine, National Academies of Practice, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Goodrich serves on the board of directors of Danbury and New Milford Hospitals of Nuvance Health. She is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and a Distinguished Scholar Fellow of the National Academies of Practice.
