The Office also verifies the authenticity of official documents submitted for evaluation. A majority of work is completed within 24 hours after receipt. All paper documents submitted to the Office of Registration and Records are electronically imaged; after six months, the orginal paper documents are securely destroyed. In accordance with the The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), we respect the privacy rights of student education records. FAQCoursesThe refund policy is in your Student Handbook (PDF). The limit is a maximum of six W (withdrawal) grades. You may withdraw from the same Excelsior College course for a maximum of three times. If you have six W grades, you will not be allowed the option to withdraw from a course. Final grades will be posted to your academic record on the sixth day after the term ends. If the sixth day falls on the weekend, your grades will be posted on Monday. If you wish to appeal a grade of AW (administrative withdrawal) you must submit a request to awappeal@excelsior.edu by Tuesday, 11:59 pm Eastern Time, after notification of AW status on that Monday. The Schools will investigate, make a decision and send the decision no later than noon on the Friday of that week. Please refer to the Excelsior College Student Policy Handbook (PDF). Students can add/drop, drop (cancel), or withdraw from a course online (login required). A written request which includes the student's full, student ID number, course title, and term can also be sent to the course registration team at register@excelsior.edu. EnrollmentA Letter of Enrollment (LOE) is for students who are enrolled in an Excelsior College degree program and need verification of their enrollment. The Letter of Enrollment will be sent 24-48 hours following receipt of the request provided the student's record has been processed for enrollment. You will receive notification via email when your LOE request is received and another notification when your LOE has been sent. Mail or fax to: Office of Registration and Records Undergraduate students are allowed to transfer within a school and between schools. If you decide to transfer from one school to another, (e.g., business to liberal arts) you will be charged an $80 program transfer fee to cover the costs of reevaluating your credentials for the new degree program. It is recommended that you discuss program/degree changes with an academic advisor prior to requesting a change. Undergraduate degree transfer requests can be submitted online. Note: Students cannot transfer into a nursing degree using the online form. Health Science students may not use the online form to change their program. Official transcripts and documents are those that a college, testing agency, or education office send directly to Excelsior's Office of Registration and Records at your request. Letters of Qualification (LOQ)After you have completed degree requirements and your records have been approved, but your degree has not yet been conferred, you may request a Letter of Qualification. The LOQ will be sent 24-48 hours following receipt of the request. Diplomas are sent priority mail on degree conferral provided all fees have been paid. Letter of Completion (LOC)After your degree has been conferred, an LOC can be sent to graduate schools or employers to verify graduation status. Although an official transcript is the more accepted means of providing this information to others, the College will provide a Letter of Completion upon request. The Letter of Completion will be sent 24-48 hours following the receipt of the request provided all fees owed to the College are paid in full. You will receive notification via email when your LOQ or LOC request is received and another notification when your LOQ or LOC has been sent. There is a $12.00 fee for each transcript requested. Transcripts are normally sent within five business days. During peak periods, it may take additional time to process your transcript request. If you request Transcript Rush service, the transcript is mailed within three business days via first-class mail if your evaluation is up-to-date and complete. There is an additional $30 fee, making the total $42.
